Please join us in-person (masks optional) at Orchard Park Friends Meeting House or over Zoom (link provided upon registration)
Orchard Park Friends Meetinghouse
6924 East Quaker St. Orchard Park, NY 14127
Please join us in the morning for a session that follows last October’s presentation on economic inequality and injustice. This will be followed by an afternoon session practicing discernment, a spirit-based decision-making process. The use of one or more aspects of discernment can be beneficial to individuals when the way forward in making a decision is unclear which sometimes leads to a Clearness committee. Meetings as a whole can benefit from practicing discernment, especially when seeking unity around particular decisions. The decision to be used in practicing discernment today is: Whether Friends are moved to respond collectively to the challenge of poverty by working to reduce runaway economic inequality.
