The Love, Community, Action group of Buffalo Friends Meeting has been working to establish a relationship and connection with a Black church on Buffalo’s East side. The Lincoln Memorial United Methodist Church is interested in learning more about Friends, and has invited us to a “Meet and Greet” on Sunday, January 8, from Noon to 1:00 at their church on 641 Masten Ave., Buffalo NY 14209. The Lincoln Memorial folks will make the coffee, and we have offered to bring the goodies. There are several possibilities: you can attend their Fellowship at 10am before church, and then attend services at 10:30, then the “Meet and Greet” after church (and our M4W) at 12:00, or any portion thereof. The Church is located close to the Network of Religious Communities, and carpooling may be possible after worship.
