The Clerks encourage everyone to consider attending a special gathering this Sunday, June 13 directly after Meeting for Worship, on Zoom.
Our Threshing Session will be a worshipful conversation. We are looking for a new home in which our Quaker Meeting can worship and grow. What messages does the Spirit have for us in this process? Unlike Meeting for Worship or Worship Sharing sessions, there will be openness to respond directly to what you hear, to hear very divergent ideas on the same general topic, and to speak more than once in the session. No decisions will be made during this conversation.
Our overall focus will be: What is best, what is right for the spiritual life of our Meeting?
We will send some additional information by Friday to prepare us for this conversation.
In the meantime, we encourage you to read the newsletter that was released last week. You will find relevant information in Rodney Pierce’s article on the history of the donation of the Meetinghouse at 72 North Parade, the general history of our Meeting in the Clerk’s article, and the Minutes from last month’s Meeting for Worship with Attention to Business that describe our discussion about the most recent proposal for a new home.
