A group of Friends at Farmington Scipio Regional Meeting (FSRM) Winter Gathering discussed the challenges of responding to structural racism. They will start a monthly meeting group on the first Monday of each month that will discuss how we might do the work of dismantling racism as individuals and as Quaker communities. The group’s name is Good Trouble, in honor of the recently deceased Georgia Congressman John Lewis’s frequent admonition to supporters to be willing to get into trouble, “good trouble.”
We will hold our first meeting on Monday, February 1st at 7 p.m. If you are interested in participating in an open-ended discussion, please contact info@buffaloquakers.org for the Zoom meeting information. Get into some Good Trouble.
