The theme for this gathering is "Reaching the Sacred Across the Divide."
As Friends, we affirm “that of God” in each person. Yet, many of us struggle
to see and answer to the sacred in those with whom we disagree about the
salient issues of our time.
Recent studies of morality, ethics and values across the political spectrum
can help deepen our understanding of the current divisions among us and
inform a constructive response.
Join us for an exploration of the moral matrices put forth in Jonathan
Haidt’s book, The Righteous Mind: Why Good People are Divided by Politics
and Religion, and let us see how the way forward opens for us together.
